Ovum (lat. egg) Generative data sculptures allow you to experience the measured values of toxics in herring gull eggs from the german bird islands Mellum, Trischen and Heuwiese. This webexperience is only supporting the original augmented reality installation developed with Unity3D for Meta Quest 3. The sculptures were generated with TouchDesigner by directly using the table data from the Umweltprobenbank. Each value scales a sphere and determines its height in the room. If they are close enough they melt together an break open. Choose a poison and a location to explore the development of the contamination and possible reasons on the timeline below the sculpture. The glass level shows limit values for the selected substance in food. The sound was produced by cracking chicken egg shells and via collaboration with: https://www.sebastian-langer.com
