Procedural 2d fish
Inspired by and based of this video by argonaut : https://youtu.be/qlfh_rv6khY
Two modes
- Follows a point
- Follows the mouse
How it could be improved
- Optimization
- Rotation limit - so that it does not fold onto itself
- When the fish stops on the mouse, the head shifts
- Speed of the fish is currently frame dependent
Aesthetics
- Fish
- Give the fish a texture
- Detailed fins
- Have the fish sometimes kinda poke a bit out of the water with ripples n stuff (head, tail, back fins)
- Additional animations? I tried adding a sine wave to the tail but failed to make it look good, perhaps have the tail overshoot (follow through)
- The fish target could be an orbit around the mouse
- Environment
- Lily pads (moves n ripples when fish passes by)
- Background texture
- Wind ripples
