Click Attractor Shader (4.000.000 points)
This is a test-setup for a force-network. I do the velocity accumulation via a feedback network that is inspired by the standard TouchDesigner workflow.
There is still loads to fix (I think I'm doing something wrong with the forces and the dampening actually, but I just wanted to look how many points cables can handle on my machine with this workflow. And It seems quite happy with 2000^2 points:
4000.000 points 8-)
How to use this:
- Click and hold your mouse on screen. The points will attract to your mouse position
- Play with the 'Force' value
- Play with 'delay between computes' or 'PointCount^2' for better performance
- Check 'Orbital Controls' for a 3D view
