With this artwork I aimed to experiment with using code as an animation tool. Taking inspiration from the MultiPlane Camera, used in traditional 2d animation to create depth in a landscape by separating the planes and moving them at different rates. I have used cables’ 3d features to create a digital version of this effect, with the added effect of the planes being automatically moved by the code, opposed to manually adjusting them for each frame. This automation allows for the animation to be interactive. Using the scroll wheel the viewer can move the camera through the landscape.
